The club has a long-standing tradition of firearm safety training and developing youth marksmanship. Each year boys and girls 11-18 engage in 10 weeks of indoor range time where they learn and practice shooting .22 rifles from prone, kneeling and standing position. Special events introduce juniors to handguns and high power rifles.
The junior program is staffed by volunteer club members who have experience in the shooting diciplines, and they supervise shooters to insure safety, offer encouragement and feedback.
